Robert W. Horne, originally from the Boston, MA area, moved to Santa Fe in 1984. In 1992, after managing a portrait studio in Los Alamos for eight years, he purchased David's Studio, an institution in Santa Fe since 1946. Under Bob's direction "Images By Davids" has become Santa Fe's leading full-service studio and has established a reputation for creating photography that is natural in both style and expression. "The compliment I enjoy receiving most," says Bob, "is when a client says they had fun!" Much of his portraiture (including families and seniors) is created on location to take advantage of Santa Fe's abundant natural beauty. Bob's hobbies include, travel, hiking, gardening, and building construction. With the help of several friends, Bob recently complete building his own Straw-Bale home. (Don't ask him about the Big Bad Wolf!) In 2001, Bob put his construction skills to work in renovating the old GCR Tire Company building, which opened in September as the state-of-the-art headquarters and studio for Images by Davids. Presently Bob is developing a "portrait park" on the grounds of his new facility. Bob is past President and a member of the Professional Photographers of New Mexico as well as an active member of Professional Photographers of America.
